Smokey and I played Little League baseball together. He was a heck of a ball player and I can still hear Farrell, his dad, yelling from the stands cheering him on when he was pitching. Played basketball against him in grade school when he starred at Browning. A great little athlete he was. Smokey was a quiet and gentle guy in those days and from reading the condolences I can see that he was truly a man with deep friendships. RIP Smokey. Bob Rittenhouse
