Lena B. Crnkovich

June 13th, 1925 – September 14th, 2020

Lena Belle Crnkovich, age 95 of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away at 6:30 am on Monday, September 14, 2020 at her home in Palm Coast. She was born on June 13, 1925 in Summum, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Musie (Ratcliff) Thompson. She married Edward Crnkovich on June 30, 1959 in Salinas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2007.

Lena Belle was also preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters; Gertrude, Nedra, Rose, Margaret, Mary, Tinnie, Shelby, Maurie, Dwight, Donald, Harry, Sam, Floyd, and an infant.

She is survived by her two children, Janet Ballard of Peoria, Illinois and Alvin Garren of Palm Coast, Florida, two grandchildren, Tammy (and Scott) Pherigo and Danny Ballard, and three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Hailey, and Joselyn Pherigo.

Lena Belle was a telephone operator and also worked at a bakery and as a seamstress.

She was a very sweet woman who always had a smile on her face. She loved her children very much.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Summum Cemetery. Pastor Matthew Thiner will officiate. There is no visitation.
