Annalee Klinedinst
January 21st, 1937 – February 20th, 2022
Annalee Burriss Klinedinst passed away on February 20, 2022 at Red Oak Memory Care in Canton, IL. Ann was born in Astoria, IL to Floyd and Dorothy (Lockard) Burriss on January 21, 1937. Dorothy later married Blaine Hopping who together raised Ann. She graduated from Astoria High School in 1954. Ann married Forrest Klinedinst in Summum, IL on April 2, 1955. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1977.
Also preceding Ann in death was her sister, Kathryn Oliver from Canton, IL and her special friend Charles Curtis Myers from Astoria, and two half-sisters Sandy Deeds and Judy Burriss, both from Wooster, OH.
Ann is survived by her children; Randy (and Samantha) Klinedinst, Tammy (and Kevin) Kessler and Rick (and Janet) Klinedinst, all of Canton, seven grandchildren; Mendy (and Dustin) Toland of Hudson, IL, Kasey (and Landon) Stenger of Monticello, IL, Tyson (and Courtney) Klinedinst, Drew (and Mary Beth) Klinedinst, Andrea Klinedinst, Seth (and Kassidy) Klinedinst and Clay Klinedinst all of Canton, eleven loving great-grandchildren, her half-brother Buddy Burriss and four half-sisters; Donna Moore, Jane Daughtery, Barbara (and Eugene) Large, Cheryl (and Chuck) Hackworth, all of Wooster, OH.
Ann was a stay at home mom until the passing of her husband. She then attended Spoon River College and began working for Mildred Nagle Accounting Services. She later worked at Graham Hospital in the Medical Records Department until her retirement in 2000.
She loved going camping, taking pictures and being a mom and grandma. She closely followed all their birthdays, anniversaries, accomplishments, and events reminding them every year of what took place on their special days.
Ann had a servant’s heart and loved the Lord, giving Him praises every day. She had a deep compassion for her friends and relatives and would regularly send them birthday, get well, and sympathy cards as well as visit many of them at their homes, hospitals, nursing homes, visitations and funerals. She always had a comforting word to share and a hand to hold when needed.
Ann was a member of the Woodland Church of the Brethren in Astoria and most recently attended the Canton Church of the Brethren.
The family is holding a private funeral service later in the week. Shawgo Memorial Home has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Ann’s memory to the Canton Church of the Brethren. Memorials may be sent to the funeral home at PO Box 525, Astoria, IL 61501 or the church at 269 E. Chestnut, Canton, IL 61520.

Aunt Ann was definitely a loving and caring person. When we visited mom (Violet Wickert) in Astoria Ann made every effort to visit with us. When Violet became home bound she made frequent telephone calls to check on her health. Aunt Ann was definitely loved by all and will be missed. Love to all from Dean & Carol Wickert
