I remember many things about my aunt Denise. A lot of memories and most of them funny. I remember watching her try to jump over Mrs. Bricker’s bush and it looked so funny to me that I laughed so hard until I wet myself. She lived with us for awhile when I was in the fifth grade and we argued just like sisters. One night I had a dream that we were fighting and in my dream I was getting ready to swing and punch her in the face. I woke up mid-swing and punched the wall next to my bed. But she will always be remembered for her fear of locust shells. I remember dad finding a bunch of shells and lining them up on the clothes line and she wouldn’t go near the clothes line. He would chase her around the yard with a locust shell. Fond memories I will never forget. Gone too soon for sure.
