Flossie M. Danner

March 17th, 1923 – November 1st, 2015

Flossie M. Danner, age 92, of Macomb, passed away at 9:10 am on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb. She was born on March 17, 1923 in Woodland Township, Fulton County, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Edith (Beam) Parr. Flossie married Wilbert “Bill” Danner on August 23, 1941 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on October 19, 1987.

Also preceding her in death is her son, Rick Danner, 2 brothers, Jack and Dean Parr and 2 sisters, Nelda Herriford and Wanda Averill.

Survivors include her son, Roger (and Sherry) Danner of Morton, IL, 4 grandsons, Brian Danner of Table Grove, Dennis (and Angie) Danner of Table Grove, Jonathon Danner of Morton, and Jason (and Sondra) Danner of Springfield, 5 great-grandchildren, Justin (and Heather) Danner, Courtney Danner, Nikki Danner, Anthony Moulton and Joshua Moulton, 5 great-great-granchildren- Jase Danner, Kirsten Danner, Kaitlin Vaughn, Emily Moulton and Jacob Moulton and 1 great-great-great-grandchild, Rachel Renee Baldwin.

Flossie was a homemaker. She also worked at Ford Hopkins in Macomb for 2 years and in housekeeping at the McDonough District Hospital for 15 years. Flossie crocheted for many years.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Tim Gilliland will be officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Astoria Cemetery in Astoria. Memorials may be made to Harbor Lights Hospice.
