Dale E. McCurdy

May 2nd, 1955 – May 27th, 2016

Dale McCurdy, 61, of Vermont, passed away at 6:40 pm on Friday, May 27, 2016 at his home. He was born on May 2, 1955 in Canton, the son of Harold and Helen (Wheeler) McCurdy. Dale married Rose Orwig on April 3, 1982 in Summum. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Travis, of Springfield, IL; his parents of Vermont; his brother, David and Kathy McCurdy of Vermont; and one sister, Barbara and Dan Kendrick of Vermont.

He was a set-up machine operator at NTN Bower in Macomb, last working in July of 2015.

Dale was a graduate of VIT High School and a member of the Vermont United Methodist Church. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, duck hunting, fishing, and more recently attending antique auctions.

Visitation will be held on from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, May 31st at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1st at 1100 am at the funeral home with Tim Gilliland officiating.

Interment will be in the Vermont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to MDH Hospice in Macomb or Vermont Fire and Rescue.
