Michael R. Ledbetter

July 16th, 1955 – July 20th, 2016

Michael R. Ledbetter, age 61 of Astoria, IL, passed away at 11:30 am on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 16, 1955 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Amos Jack and Shirley Frances (Rigney) Ledbetter. He married Sandra Lugge on February 6, 1976 in Belleville, IL. He later married Paula Callis on August 15, 2014 in Belleville. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tanya (and Jason) Going of Glen Carbon, IL and Dr. Michelle (and Ben) Hippard of Mascoutah, IL, two sons, Daniel Barks of Greenville, SC and David (and Kristin) Barks of Columbia, IL, 7 grandchildren; Makenzie and Nathan Hippard, Nicholas, Samuel, and Brooklyn Going, and Isaac and Remington Barks, two sisters, Lynn Hoese of Eureka, MO and Karen Ledbetter of St. Louis, MO, and his nephew Alex Hoese of Eureka, MO.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

He was an Ironworker, working for Ironworker's Local 392 of East St. Louis for over 30 years.

He was a member of Ironworker's Local 392 of East St. Louis.

Michael loved to hunt.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
