Grace M. Bair

Grace M. Bair, 86, of Astoria, passed away at 10:30 pm on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Wesley Village in Macomb. She was born on February 15, 1930 in Fulton County, IL, the daughter of Charles and Rosa (Brillhart) Conner. Grace married Jack Bair on December 15, 1950 in Astoria, IL. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2015.
Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Constance Royer, 4 brothers, Junior, Robert, Richard and Donald Conner and 3 sisters, Ruby Vaile, Helen Shaw and Nelda Webb.
Survivors include her son Marty Bair of Astoria and 2 granddaughters, Lindy (and Troy) Schenk of Astoria and Libby Bair of Springfield.
Grace was a homemaker and a member of the Astoria United Methodist Church
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Reverend Bob Green will be officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Astoria Cemetery in Astoria. Memorials may be made to the Astoria United Methodist Church.

So sorry to read of Grace’s death. She was a wonderful lady and such a joy & privilege to know. We will never forget how she and Jack met us the first day we came to Astoria to be the Astoria UMC pastor’s family.
