Blake Westlake

August 9th, 1972 – August 26th, 2016

Blake C. Westlake, age 44 of Bader, IL, passed away at 12:17 pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 North of Monmouth, IL in Warren County. He was born on August 9, 1972 in Rushville, IL, the son of Marvin Ray and Rebecca Gail (Fairburn) Westlake. He married Stephanie Jean Miller on February 19, 2016 in Rushville. She survives.

He is also survived by the five children that he loved, Curtis, Zebulun, Shaylee, Evan, and Aaron, his parents of Mt. Carmel, IL, his brother Clete (and Heather) Westlake of Mt. Carmel, his grandfather Delbert Fairburn of Astoria, IL, and four nieces, Kylee, Emma, Abbey, and Tiffany.

He was a 1991 graduate of Mt. Carmel HS and graduated from Wabash Valley Community College. He worked at Arthur Ring and Sons in Rushville, IL and was currently working for Beaird Transport of Astoria, IL as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver.

Blake loved working on cars, fishing, and building things with his kids. He enjoyed traveling to Mt. Carmel and spending time with his parents and brother.

He had a heart bigger than life.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 11:00 am at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Jeremy Westlake will officiate. Visitation will take place on Monday, August 29th from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Astoria, IL. Memorials may be made to his children's education fund.
