Carrie Elizabeth "Libby" Webb

January 16th, 1923 – August 6th, 2017

Carrie Elizabeth "Libby" Webb, age 94 of Ipava, passed away at 11:22 am on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. She was born on January 16, 1923 in Lewistown Township, Fulton County, Illinois, the daughter of Roscoe Conklin and Ethel Veda (Simpson) Breckenridge. Libby married Herman Bruce Webb on August 7, 1949 in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by her sister Vera Cornelius Smith and her brother Roscoe Leonard Breckenridge.

Libby is survived by her daughter Carol Lynn (and Steven) Birch of Lewistown, her three sons; Ron (and Ellen) Webb of Lewistown, Greg (and Leslie) Webb of Astoria, and Jim (and Nancy) Webb of Ipava, Nine grandchildren; Jenni (and Chad) Curless, Joe (and Christina) Webb, Elizabeth Butler, Jake (and Whitney) Webb, Nathan (and Katie) Webb, Rebecca (and Jeff) Layer, Sam (and Cally) Webb, Josh Webb, and Caleb Webb, one step-granddaughter Amy Birch, and ten great-grandchildren; Julia Curless, Kayla Curless, Lydia Curless, Dylan Webb, Madelyn Webb, Benjamin Webb, Hannah Webb, Joel Layer, Logan Layer, and Oliver Webb.

Libby was a homemaker. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Fulton County Farm Bureau.

The family would like to thank a special nephew, Larry Webb for all he's done.

Services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Brian Ebert will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, August 10th at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lewistown, IL. Memorials may be given to the Ipava Rescue Squad or the Lewistown VFW.
