Norma Windsor

June 22nd, 1933 – September 24th, 2017

Norma Windsor, age 84 on Rushville, IL, passed away at 10:35 pm on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville, IL. She was born on June 22, 1933, a daughter of John Roscoe and Gordia Eurith (Benham) Ford. On February 25, 1952, Norma married Harold Lee Windsor in Canton, IL. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2010.

Also preceding Norma in death was her daughter Cynthia Windsor, 2 grandchildren, Casey and Amanda Chrisco, 2 sisters, Wilma Parks and Delores Thompson, and 5 brothers, John, Richard, James, Rosco, and Ralph Ford.

Norma is survived by 4 sons, Randall (and Deborah) Windsor of Canton, IL, Timothy Windsor of Canton, IL, David Windsor of Macomb, IL, and John Windsor of Astoria, IL, 3 daughters, Sandra (and Jan) McCombs of Littleton, IL, Penny Windsor of Macomb, IL, and Aimee (and Shannon) Burget of Summum, IL, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and her sister Judy Mitchell of Inota, OK.

Norma worked in housekeeping at Graham Hospital in Canton. She also worked for the overall factory in Canton and the glove factory in Beardstown, IL.

She was a homemaker for several years and enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 28th at 3:00 pm at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Illinois Chapter, 606 W. Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
