Michael D. Schmidt

November 28th, 1950 – November 26th, 2017

Michael D. Schmidt, 66, of Lewistown, IL, passed away at 11:40 pm on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his home. He was born on November 28, 1950 in Canton, IL, the son of Harley and Nelda (Manion) Schmidt.

Surviving are his 2 daughters, Heather (and Brad) Malott of Canton and Mandy (and Danielle Hughes) Schmidt of Lewistown, son, JD Larrabee of Salt Lake City, UT, 5 grandchildren, Katelyn (and David) Henson, Sunshine Mooney, Morgan Malott, Dayzi Barker and Lydia Malott, 1 great-grandson, Jaylen Mooney, 2 brothers, Ron (and Robin) Schmidt of Canton and Jim (and Glenda) Schmidt of Dahinda, IL, 2 sisters, Brenda (and Craig) Ford of Seaville, IL and Donna (and Rick) Hood of Cuba, IL, and his loving ex-wife Becky Schmidt.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Adam Schmidt.

Michael was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Canton.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church located at 20 North Avenue I, Canton, IL. Reverend Greg Ogle will be officiating. There will be a meal in the basement of the church with the family following the service. Memorials may be made to the future education of Michael's grandchildren.
