Dale Albert Lutz

October 8th, 1937 – January 9th, 2018

Dale Albert Lutz, age 80 of Vermont, IL, passed away at 4:30 am on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Select Acute Care in Eureka, IL. He was born on October 8, 1937, the son of Toler and Ethel (White) Lutz. On May 23, 1986, Dale married Nancy J. Bourke in Peoria, IL. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2006.

Also preceding Dale in death was his son, Dale Albert Lutz, Jr., four sisters, and two brothers.

Surviving are his daughter, Jacquelyn Hammer of Peoria, IL, two step-daughters, Lisa Gresham of Washington, IL and Cynthia Stapleton of Mattoon, IL, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his brother Charles Lutz of Ipava, IL and his sister Eleanor Willamee of Pekin, IL.

Dale was a machine operator for Caterpillar Tractor Company.

He was a Marine Corps Veteran.

Dale loved to hunt and fish.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no services planned at this time.

We are so sorry for the loss of Dale. He was always a pleasure to talk to. We loved to exchange fishing stories. When Dale & Nancy lived by Turtle, MO they hosted my family and we had a wonderful time. I'm sure he is at peace and we will always remember him. The Callahan Family
