Frances M. Husted

November 13th, 1925 – May 2nd, 2018

Frances Marie Husted, age 92 of Macomb, IL, formerly of Astoria, passed away at 7:05 pm Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at The Elms in Macomb, IL. She was born on November 13, 1925 in Quiver Township, Illinois, near Topeka, the daughter of Clyde and Bessie (Roof) Morris. She married Andrew Schaad on January 20, 1946. She later married Jack D. Husted on February 21, 1953 in Havana, IL. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1998.

Frances was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Suter of Springfield, IL, two sons, David Schaad of Springfield, IL and Kenneth Husted of Pinckneyville, IL, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three half-brothers; Wayne Morris of Ft. Jones, CA, Don Morris of Cortey, CO, and Kenneth Morris of Quincy, MA, and three half-sisters; Mary Lou Brunson of Texas, June Wilson of Marsland, NE, and Freida Perkins of Ceresco, MI.

Frances was a telephone operator for 17 years.

She was a member of The Royal Neighbors of America since 1941 and a member of the Astoria American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary.

Services will be held on Monday, May 7th at 11:00 am at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Pastor Don Southerd will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mason City Cemetery, Mason City, IL. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
