Robert T. "Rob Bob" Burgard

October 25th, 1962 – June 17th, 2018

Robert T. “Rob Bob” Burgard, 55, of Table Grove, IL, passed away at 10:25 am on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Havana Healthcare Center in Havana, IL. He was born on October 25, 1962 in Havana, the son of Robert E. and Judi K. (Hackard) (Burgard) Sprecher.

Survivors include special friend, Nancy Abernathy of Table Grove, IL, daughter, Daphne (and Ernie Barclay) Abernathy of Ipava, IL, son, Brandon (and Christy Cracraft) Abernathy of Vermont, IL, 3 grandchildren, Steven (and Moriah) Mayall, Kolton Mayall, and Luke Abernathy, 5 great-grandchildren, Summer, Bentlee, Brayson, Noah, and Bailynn, 2 sisters, Kim Burgard of Ipava, and Jodi Burgard of Nicoma Park, OK, brother, Lanny (Angie) Burgard of Ipava, 5 nieces and nephews, Katie Burgard, Landon Burgard, Ashley Sellers, Chad Berglan, and Dillon Berglan, and 3 great-nephews and nieces, Landon, Bella, and Colton Berglan.

He is receded by his parents and two Uncles, Lanny Ross Burgard and Lowell Davis.

He was a manager at the Table Grove Tap in Table Grove, IL

Robbie enjoyed fishing and spending time with his kids. He loved to ride his Harley, the St. Louis Cardinals, and being at “home”.

Services will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Pastor Doug Krukewitt will be officiating. A visitation will take place from 5 to 7 pm on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the funeral home in Astoria. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be made to the Table Grove Fire and Rescue Squad or the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria, IL.

Rob left an impression on me at a young age. At 5 years old he had no problem relating to me. As years went on we would see each other randomly and always strike up the same conversations...fishing, mushrooming and cardinals. Condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed
