Brandon Lee Welker

May 26th, 1979 – January 30th, 2019

Brandon Lee Welker, age 39 of Astoria, IL, passed away at 4:00 pm Wednesday, January 30, 2019 as a result of an auto accident at US Highway 24 and Roskamp Road in Banner, Illinois. He was born on May 26, 1979 in Rushville, Illinois, the son of Donnie Lee and Jody (Fisher) Welker.

Brandon worked for Laborer's Union #231. He also worked for the Astoria Meat Market where owner Mike Pigg stated Brandon was the best deer skinner that he had ever seen.

He was outdoors oriented. Brandon fished, hunted mushrooms and loved being outdoors, overall. He had a heart of gold for the elderly and needy, helping out whenever he could.

He enjoyed playing pitch, especially with his grandpa.

He had a great sense of humor and loved his kids and family dearly.

Brandon is survived by his children, Donnie, Emma, and Aubri Welker, all of Astoria, his children's mother, Mandy Cox of Astoria, his mother Jody Davis of Astoria, his sister Brandy Welker of Astoria, two brothers, Whitney (and Jordyn) Davis of Astoria and Chase (and Lindsey Donlan) Davis of Summum, grandfather Richard Fisher of Summum, and Grandmother Judy Hopkins of Summum.

He was preceded in death by father Donnie Lee Welker, father Dick Davis, and grandmother Willa Fisher.

The family will receive friends at the Jody Davis residence at 516 East Washington Street in Astoria on Saturday, February 2nd from 11 am until 3 pm. Anyone wishing to make a memorial in Brandon's memory can do so to his children or a charity of your choice.
