Edward H. McDivitt

December 13th, 1939 – March 17th, 2019

Edward Hawes McDivitt, age 79 of Astoria, IL, passed away at 8:54 pm Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Havana Health Care Center in Havana, IL. He was born on December 13, 1939 in Hamilton, OH, the son of Russel and Mary (Hawes) McDivitt. He married Karen Deppermann on May 1, 1993 in Astoria, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are 6 children; Laura McDivitt, Gregory McDivitt, Tim McDivitt, Jon McDivitt, Randall McDivitt, and Kristen McDivitt and his brother, Russell McDivitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ed was a graduate of Dixon High school. He was an outstanding baseball player. He was a truck driver, driving for North American Comtras and Creek Carriers.

He was a member of the Woodland Church of the Brethren in Astoria, IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time.
