Terry Lehman

September 16th, 1946 – June 5th, 2019

John 'Terry' Lehman, 72, of Astoria, IL, passed away at 11:25 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb, IL. He was born on September 16, 1946, the son of Max and Lois (Horton) Lehman. Terry married Joyce Moody on August 9, 1969 in Mt. Sterling, IL. Joyce preceded Terry in death on September 16, 2018.

Survivors include his daughter, Alicia Lehman of Astoria, granddaughter, Lily Lehman of Astoria, brother, Michael (and Carol) Lehman of Lansing, KS, and his sister-in-law, Jan (and Chuck) Lodding of Lake Barrington, IL.

After his fathers death in 1976, Terry, along with Joyce, became owner and operator of the Sunshine Store in Astoria. After the closing of the Sunshine Store in 1987, Terry and Joyce opened Studio Screens in Astoria.

He was a member of the Astoria Area Chamber of Commerce. Terry loved his dog Lola and watching his granddaughter Lily play all sports.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 6 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. David Little will be officiating. A visitation from 3 to 6 pm prior to the service on Saturday the 15th. Donations may be made to the Astoria Area Chamber of Commerce.

I’m so sorry I loved your Dad and Mom they always made Made me laugh.He was so kind all the time.we would always stop and talk so i could pet Lola of course.my heart goes out to both of you. Cherish the memories they will always bring a smile and a tear or two.missie kimbro ❤️

It seemed the whole town was smiling, sharing their happiness. Now we are sharing your sadness. Terry always had time to stop and visit no matter where we happened to meet. At Studio Screens, he and Joyce always shared the latest stories of you and Lily. You were both so loved.

Terry and I visited many times at Dr veeders while maurie was getting treatments and he was waiting to get his treatment.I always enjoyed those visits and I missed your sweet mom when I retired from working at the Astoria clinic.
