Mitch Vance

May 1st, 1968 – July 2nd, 2019

Michele Ray "Mitch" Vance, age 51 of Watford City, ND, formerly of Vermont, IL, passed away on July 2, 2019 at his home. He was born on May 1, 1968 in Rushville, IL, the son of Donald and Nancy (Umphryes) Vance.

Mitch is survived by his mother, Nancy Hayes of Vermont, IL, his son Mike (and Caitlyn Thompson) Vance of Ipava, IL, his daughter Jessica Vance of Billings, MT, his brother Steven (and Tabitha"Sam") Vance of Ipava, IL, his sister Shannon Jones of Westport, WA, and 8 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Vance.

Mitch was an Air Force veteran.

He was a truck driver his entire life, logging over 3.75 million miles. He was working for Wide Grade Transport at the time of his death.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 8th at 3:30 pm at the Good Hope Cemetery in rural Rushville, IL. Pastor Cody Stinnett will officiate. Military rites will be provided by the Vermont American Legion Post #26. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 pm on Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL.
