John M. Butler

September 1st, 1961 – June 27th, 2019

John Martin Butler, age 57, passed away at 6:50 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at his home in rural Astoria, IL. He was born on September 1, 1961 in Champaign, IL, the son of Thomas M. and Mildred E. (Hamilton) Butler.

John drove a fork lift for a sub contractor of Caterpillar Tractor Company.

He is survived by his sister, Ellen Noblitt and brother Joseph Butler, both of Decatur, IL. Also surviving are his niece, Janie (and Kevin) Marquis of Decatur, IL, his two nephews, Daniel Noblitt and Nicholas (and Erin) Noblitt, both of Decatur, IL, and three great nephews; Timothy Noblitt, Gavyn Noblitt, and Aidan Marquis.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. John ashes will be interred at the Hickory Cemetery in rural Astoria at a later date.

I have fond memories of cousin John. I can still picture his smile and the twinkle in his eyes. He had a good sense of humor. I regret that the miles between us all have kept us from seeing each other. So sorry for another loss for your family. Cousins have a sweet spot in my heart. ♥️
