Beatrice R. Curless

January 22nd, 1925 – July 13th, 2019

Beatrice R. Curless, 94, of Bluff City, IL, passed away at 8:05 am on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at her home. She was born on January 22, 1925 in James, Georgia, the daughter of Ernest and Bert Eldridge. Beatrice married Donald Curless on October 16, 1943 in Macon, Georgia. Donald preceded Beatrice in death on February 24, 1996.

Also preceding her in death is her daughter, Carol Hinesly, 3 grandchildren, Daphni Kay Curless, Donnie DeLisle and Michelle White, and 9 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet Summers of Astoria, 2 sons, Theodore (and Jane Ann) Curless of Homestead, OH and Donald Keith (and Denise) Curless of Brooklyn, IL, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-Granddaughter.

Beatrice was a secretary at Robins Air Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. She later was a homemaker and did some wallpapering in her spare time.

She was a member of the Bluff City Community Church. She enjoyed flowers and gardening

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Bluff City Cemetery in Bluff City, IL. Pastor Jerry Sawyer will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Shawgo Memorial Home. Memorials may be made to the Bluff City Community Church, Beacon of Hope Hospice or Schuyler County Home Health.

Aunt Bea always looked pretty.
She was a very caring & loving person.
She is the last one of our family line on the Curleess side.
She will be missed by all.
Keith & Denise took excelant care of her these last few years.
