Anna Maye Fouts

Anna Maye Fouts, age 79 of Ipava, IL, passed away at 5:37 pm Friday, November 1, 2019 at her home She was born on April 18, 1940 in Astoria, IL, the daughter of George Bruce and Eva Marie (Easley) Welker. On January 28, 1957 Anna married Rex Fouts in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ella Harper, granddaughter Joni Duckwiler-Johnson, great-granddaughter Jerzee Fouts, and brother John Welker.
Anna is survived by three daughters; Anita (and Steve) Duckwiler, Cindy (and Craig) Porter, and Joyce Fouts Norville, all of Ipava, IL, three sons; Rex (and Suzanne) Fouts, Jr. of Ipava, IL, Jackie (and Dacia) Fouts of Canton, IL, and Dave (and Susan) Fouts of Ipava, IL, thirteen grandchildren; Jennifer (and Kevin) Bankert, Julianna Duckwiler, Heather (and Brian) Colston, D.J. (and Jessica) Fouts, Katrina (and Brian) Hartsock, Bradley (and Samantha Ford) Fouts, Ben (and Sarah) Fouts, Amber (and Chris) Moreland, Derek (and Nicole) Porter, Kristen (and Mike) Peters, Jordan Fouts, Gerad Fouts, and Sarah Fouts, seventeen great-grandchildren; Taylor Easley, Thomas Easley, Tanner Easley, Tyanna Easley, Jackson Johnson, Lydia Fouts, Delilah Fouts, Bryce Colston, Brodie Colston, Camille Fouts, Ava Hartsock, Evan Hartsock, Fulton Peters, Colt Bankert, Bearett Fouts, Chandler Fouts, and Hannah Fouts, three great-great-grandchildren; Easton Houston, Oliver Easley, and Everleigh Easley, three sisters; Judy (and Dean) Hopkins of Astoria, IL, Norma Holmes of Knoxville, IL, and Brenda Heath of Astoria, IL, and three brothers; Raymond Welker of Vero Beach, FL, Franklin Welker of Astoria, IL, and Allen (and Crystal) Welker of Vermont, IL.
She worked as a cook at Table Grove Grade School. She later was supervisor at Webster Industries in Macomb, IL. After her retirement, her passion was being owner and operator of Anna's House of Loom where she made rugs. She delighted in this.
Anna enjoyed crafts and quilting and loved spending time with her family.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 6th at 11:00 am at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Pastor Kevin Kessler will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, November 5th at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in Anna's memory to Hospice Compassus, 2000 W. Pioneer Parkway, Suite 24, Peoria, IL 61615. Interment will be in the Maryville Cemetery in Bryant, IL.

To DJ and Jessica Lydia and Delilah remember the song for you and your sister named you before you were born. I never new Anna Maye but I wish I had, I worked with Rex for 10 years and he made us a family in every job we all did. I am sure that anna missed Rex a great deal he was a wonderful person and loved everyone just as all of you who are his children.
