Vivian R. Palmer

May 21st, 1975 – December 31st, 2019

Vivian Renee Palmer, age 44, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at her home in Beardstown, Illinois. She was born on May 21, 1975 in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Robert D. and Violet L. (Beatty) Self. On September 18, 2015, Vivian married Matthew Palmer in Summum, Illinois. He survives.

Also surviving are her two daughters, Brianna (and Anthony) Gleason of Crystal City, Missouri and Danielle (and Josh) Thacker of Killeen, Texas, her grandson Kaleb Thacker, one step-daughter Madison Palmer of Galva, Illinois, two sisters, Angela (and Ray) Dodds of Macomb, Illinois and Brenda Gossage of Clearwater, Florida, two brothers, John (and Marilyn) Frank of Bardolph, Illinois and Robert Self of Versailles, Illinois, three nieces, one nephew, six great-nieces, two great-nephews, and several cousins and second cousins.

Vivian's girls and grandson were her greatest achievement and were the world to her. She loved spending time with them and the rest of her family, along with Mickey, whom she loved dearly.

Vivian enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, mushrooming, and riding horses, especially Brodie, her number one choice.

She also enjoyed crocheting.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Vivian Palmer Memorial Fund. Flowers and Memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
