Glenn E. Gearing

March 9th, 1940 – January 29th, 2020

Glenn E. Gearing, age 79 of Canton, Illinois, passed away at 1:45 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Graham Hospital in Canton, Illinois. He was born on March 9, 1940 in Alton, Illinois, the son of James and Olivia June (Croxton) Gearing. He married Donna Kay Wilson on July 23, 1960 in Rushville. She preceded him in death on October 22, 2017.

Glenn is survived by his daughter, Lisa (and Dr. James) Burch of Lewistown, Illinois, two granddaughters, Nicole Burch of Davenport, Iowa and Lacey Gearing of Macomb, Illinois and one great-Grandson Bentley Housenga of Macomb, Illinois

Glenn and Donna were owners and operators of Bear Plumbing in Macomb, Illinois for many years.

Services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 2:30 pm at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, Illinois. Father David Whiteside will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Astoria, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Glenn's memory to the Fulton County Humane Society.
