Ada Rosalie Saufley
December 22nd, 1929 – April 16th, 2020
Ada Rosalie Saufley, age 90 of Macomb, IL, formerly of Vermont, IL, passed away at 11:25 pm Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb, IL. She was born on December 22, 1929 in Table Grove, IL, the daughter of Perry and Reatha (Baughman) Saufley.
Rosalie was a bookkeeper for Bader Elevator in Vermont and later McDonough FS in Macomb, IL.
She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and reading books.
Rosalie was a member of the Adair United Methodist Church in Adair, IL.
Surviving are her sister-in-law Norma Saufley of Ipava, IL and 3 nephews; Victor (and Diana) Saufley of Houston, TX, Vance (and Ethel) Saufley of Cuba, IL, and Von (and Tracy) Saufley of Hudson, IL.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her brother, Merle Franklin Saufley.
A celebration of Rosalie's life will be held at a later date with interment in the Ipava Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb, IL or Harbor Lights Hospice in Galesburg, IL and sent to the the funeral home at PO Box 525, Astoria, IL 61501

So sorry to hear about "Elevator Rosie" as I called her as a young child. From all the bottles of pop she bought me at Baders to her teaching me to play canasta at FS. She was a special lady and I thought the world of her.
