Amanda L. Wright

August 23rd, 1975 – July 17th, 2020

Amanda Louise Wright, 44, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Table Grove, IL, passed away at 12:40 pm on July 17, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born on August 23, 1975 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Leroy and Joan (Ritter) Wright.

Amanda is survived by her mother, Joan Taylor of Table Grove, partner for the past 20 years, Shane Pastrovich of Springfield, 2 half-brothers, Bob (and Stephanie) Wright and Michael (and Sara) Wright, both of Canton, half-sister, Sue Engle of Canton, and several aunts, uncles, a great-aunt and cousins. The family would like to give a special thank you to Carolyn Waters, her personal teacher-advocate from kindergarten through 12th grade.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy, grandparents, half-brother, Richard Wright, half-sister, Jean Henderson and cousins.

Amanda graduated from VIT High School. Following graduation, she attended Illinois School For The Visually Impaired, Western Illinois University and Northern Illinois University.

She loved reading books, listening to music and going to concerts. She was an avid Cubs fan.

A service was held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Harris Cemetery in Table Grove with Pastor Cody Stinnett officiating. Memorials may be made to the McDonough County Humane Society Building Fund.
