Eric "Ricky" D. Malott

June 13th, 1961 – October 7th, 2020

Eric “Ricky” Malott, 59, of Astoria, IL, passed away at 4:14 am on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in East Peoria, IL. He was born on June 13, 1961 in Canton, IL, the son of Verl and Glenna (Taylor) Malott.

Survivors include his parents, Verl and Glenna Malott of Ipava, IL, brother, Rod Malott of Astoria, Aunt and Uncle's, Lois and Richard Henderson of East Peoria and Ronald and Margaret Taylor of Liverpool, IL.

Hi is preceded by his paternal grandparents, Mary and Chancey Malott, and maternal grandparents, Glenn and Helen Taylor.

Eric was a machinist at Caterpillar in East Peoria.

He was a member of UAW Local 974. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, October 12, 2020 in the Summum Cemetery in Summum, IL. Pastor Matthew Thiner will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 pm on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
