Patty R. Winner

September 9th, 1933 – November 7th, 2020

Patty Ruth Winner, age 87 of Browning, Illinois, passed away at 12 midnight on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at her daughter's home in rural Browning. She was born on September 9, 1933 in Bluff City, Illinois, the daughter of Leonard and Maye (Carter) Stambaugh. On November 1, 1951, Patty married Robert E. Winner in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2011.

Patty was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Jimmy and Howard Stambaugh.

Surviving are her two daughters; Barbara (and Scott) Harris of Browning and Karen (and Gary Smith) Lowe of Glasford, Illinois, her two sons; Aaron (and Laura) Winner and Alvin (and Hannah Esther) Winner, both of Rushville, Illinois, ten grandchildren; Danny (and Brenda) Doolin, Eli (and Kelly) Doolin, Jacki Harris, Joey Lowe, Amanda (and Mylo) Mitchell, Holly (and Chase) Lockard, Alex (and Hannah) Winner, Ashlee Coyle, Chelsey Howard, and Alvin Winner, eighteen great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law, Betty Stambaugh of Mt. Patty was owner and operator of Browning Shell for several years. She also worked at The Elks Club in Beardstown, Illinois and later was a CNA, working at Meyers Nursing Home in Beardstown and then working in Home Healthcare.

She was a member of the Sheldons Grove United Methodist Church and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Patty was an excellent cook and pie baker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending their activities and sporting events, listening to the "Doolins" wherever they were playing, and was especially fond of the "Creek Parties" with her family.

Patty loved traveling, especially by air.
