Jennifer L. Winston

April 28th, 1966 – December 4th, 2020

Jennifer Lynn "Jenny" Winston, age 54 of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 11:29 am on Friday, December 4, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. She was born on April 28, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John William "Bill" and Sondra Mae (Bollinger) Winston.

Jenny was a graduate of Rushville High School in 1984. She loved everything and had a smile as big as this world. She also loved her nephews, referring to them as "her boys".

She worked as a bookkeeper with her father in the accounting and tax preparation business.

Jenny and her Grandpa Eddie Winston were baptized at the same time at the Browning United Methodist Church in Browning, Illinois.

Jenny endured many hardships in her life, but had a great spirit and rarely complained. She received a kidney donation 20 years ago from her sister-in-law Carol, giving her a better life for 20 years. She always wanted to do her best. Her mother loved her very much and considered it a gift to know Jenny. She was so special to her.

She was a die hard Cubs fan and an avid reader.

She is survived by her mother, Sondra Winston of Monmouth, Illinois, her brother John (and Carol) Winston of Monmouth, three nephews; Daniel (and Julie White) Winston of Springfield, Illinois and Derek Winston and Joshua Winston, both of Monmouth, Aunt Elsie Winston of Browning, Illinois and numerous cousins.

Jenny was preceded in death by her father.

Private services will be held. Memorials in Jenny's memory may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, 230 W. Monroe, Suite 200, Chicago, IL 60606 or the Easter Seals, 507 E.
