David L. Parsano

February 21st, 1947 – December 9th, 2020

David Lee Parsano, age 73 of Adair, Illinois, passed away at 6:10 am in rural Adair, Illinois. He was born on February 21, 1947 in Macomb, Illinois, the son of Herbert and Vera (Ogden) Parsano. He married Cheryl Parry on June 25, 1970 in Rushville, Illinois. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sonya (and Daniel) Duke of Hodges, Alabama and Lisa (and Craig) Rice of Industry, Illinois, his son Eric (and Lesa) Parsano of Canton, Illinois, seven grandchildren; Kyle (and Raquel) Duke, Laryssa (and Ricky) Longoria, Collette (and Dallas Taylor) Miller, Tyler Miller, Dezerae Parsano, Garrett Aten, and Cody Aten, five great-grandchildren; Regean, Mackenzy, Kimber, Nickoli, and Zuma, four brothers; Gerald Parsano of Atwood, Illinois, Leo (and Paula) Parsano, Ronald (and Melinda) Parsano, and Donald Parsano all of Vermont, Illinois, and his sister Brenda (and George) Hite of Industry, Illinois.

David was preceded in death by his sister Donna Bottens and his brother Michael Parsano.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam war, serving from 1968 to 1973. Davids was awarded the Purple Heart.

He worked for NTN Bower in Macomb for 44 years, retiring in 2014.

He was a member of the Vermont American Legion Post.

David loved his family dearly and took good care of them.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days and loved tools. He could fix anything.

He also enjoyed grilling out and gardening.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of David's life will be held at a later date.

A member of our V.I.T. class of '67, Dave was liked by everyone. He never seemed upset or angry. He served his country bravely and without complaint. His love for his family was easily apparent and he enjoyed getting together with his classmates. We cared a lot about Dave and he will certainly be missed. Our deepest condolences to his wife, children, grandchildren, sister, brothers and the entire family. May God comfort you with endless good memories of this wonderful man. John & Sandy Bybee
