So sorry for your loss to the Hollenback family and her children. Debbie and I went all the way through school together. She was a Beautiful person inside and out! I only got to see her one time since we graduated in 1979 and that was about 3-4 years ago at the spoon river scenic drive. We really didn't want to say goodbye to each other but became friends on Facebook. She will definitely be missed by many. Heaven has definitely gained a Beautiful angel. My dear friend.... known each other since we were young. More like sisters. We would arrive at the same conclusions but take totally different paths getting there. We would laugh at ourselves and each other in the process. She asked me to pick up 15 metal trash cans recently for craft projects. When I called her to tell her how many I got, I decided to tease her. When she asked how many,,,I told her 50. Her reaction was priceless. We got to spend time together last week, so thankful for that opportunity. Life changes so quickly. Don’t take any moment for granted. Fly high Debbie. We’ll visit again. Until then,,,you will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know you. ππ

It has taken me days to come to the reality of this tragic event. I met Debbie when I was 6 years old. I’ve lived my life as friends with Debbie and have known the rest of the fast for decades also. My parents were her second parents and loved her very much as she did them. To Amber and Rachel, your Mom was so proud of you and the grandkids. To Robbie and the brothers and sisters, you were so loved too by Debbie. To the nieces and nephews, she loved all of you very much. The comfort is to know she is with her Mom which she missed beyond measure. I’m so thankful we were friends for so so many years and through life’s struggles. I will miss my friend for the rest of my life! Brenda Hopping Hamby
