Sharon S. Farwell

May 16th, 1941 – February 17th, 2021

Sharon Sue Farwell, age 79 of Lewistown, Illinois, passed away at 11;00 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at her home. She was born on May 16, 1941 in Summum, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald and Lena (Smith) Moses. On December 10, 1957, Sharon married Curtiss Allen Farwell in Rushville, Illinois. He survives.

Also surviving are her son, David Farwell of Lewistown, her daughter Ginger (and P.J.) Long of Havana, Illinois, five grandchildren, Nicolas (and Amanda) Long, Matthew Farwell, Nathan Farwell, Timothy Long, and Misty Long, and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Bella, and Elijah Long.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Joey Long, and her brother Larry Moses.

Sharon was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family, raising her children and caring for her grandchildren.

She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and watching the Cooking Channel.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Abraham Mogerman will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Browning Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
