Evelyn G. Coil

July 10th, 1922 – March 29th, 2021

Evelyn G. Coil, 98, of Browning, IL, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Heritage Health in Springfield, IL. She was born on July 10, 1922 on Morning Star Hill in Fulton County, IL, the daughter of Hardy and Violet (Crable) Thompson. Evelyn married Albert Leroy Coil on October 9, 1951 in Peoria, IL. Albert preceded Evelyn in death on June 29, 2008.

Also preceding her is her brother James Thompson and 2 sisters, Eva Curless and Alice Herzog.

Surviving are her 2 sons, David (and Bernice) Coil and Jim Coil, both of Browning, IL, daughter, Anita (and Orvel) Hull of Rushville, IL, and 2 granddaughters, Lorrie and Melissa Coil, both of Riverton, IL.

Evelyn loved her husband, children and granddaughters. She was a housewife, who in her prime enjoyed baking and making wind chimes.

Private services have been arranged. Pastor Vicki Hull will be officiating. Interment will be in the Astoria Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sheldons Grove United Methodist Church Backpack Fund.

Evelyn and Albert were neighbors to us when I was a kid. My family had a lot of very good memories of time spent together. I still think of her and Albert from time to time, always with happy memories. She was such a nice lady.
