Arthur J. "Bud" Stambaugh

February 16th, 1950 – May 7th, 2021

Arthur J. “Bud” Stambaugh, 71, of Browning, IL, passed away at 5:20 am on Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 16, 1950 in Louisville, KY, the son of Willard Dean and Mary Elizabeth (Kennison) Stambaugh.

Survivors include one sister, Patricia (and Mark) Lund of Astoria, IL, two brothers, John (and Brenda) Stambaugh and Jack (and Lily) Stambaugh, both of Browning, and several nieces and nephews.

Bud is preceded by his parents, life long companion, LuAnn Schisler, 2 brothers, Carrol and Jimmy Stambaugh, and 3 sisters, Mary Jewel, Joyce and Samantha Stambaugh.

He was a carpenter and worked with his brothers, Stambaugh Brothers Construction, for most of his life.

Bud liked old cars and trucks. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs.

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in the South Fulton Cemetery in Astoria. Bob Spencer will be officiating.

Hi Lily and Brenda it’s Bill Phillips it’s Ann stambaugh-Byrd son of Rushville. I’m so sorry for your loss of Bud Stambaugh I remember him as a good guy to Ann and my family especially my grandma Mae and Aunt Julie and my Uncle Wayne. I hope you and Brenda are doing alright since Bud’s passing. I don’t know if you two remember my grandma Alta Mae Claassen she also passed away on October 9th 2020 at the age of 89 years old and ever since she passed away I’ve been living on my own in Rushville and I’m still living on South Congress Street. And me and my aunt Julie are doing alright and she and her husband Randy and Jackson Zorn are living in Coldwater Michigan which is 8 hours from Chicago Illinois I hope to hear from you and Brenda very soon and I like to give my condolences to you and Brenda and family as well. I really liked All Bud’s vehicles
