Roger A. Davidson Jr., 19, of Rushville, IL, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, IL. He was born on August 21, 2001 in Jacksonville, IL, the son of Roger A. and Dianna (Pilger) Davidson Sr.

Survivors include his mother & step-father, Dianna (and Sonny Beatty) Davidson of Rushville, IL, fiancé, Grace Gilham of Rushville, IL, daughter, Olivia at home, 3 sisters, Natasha (and Monte Fox) Schisler of Astoria, IL, Kaylen (Davidson) (and Anthony) Payton of Astoria, IL and Tiffany Davidson of Beardstown, IL, brother Joshua (and Jessie) Davidson of Beardstown, IL, grandparents, Bob and Phyllis Pilger of Browning, IL, 3 aunts, Karen (and Steve) Davis of Astoria, Megan Kirby of Pekin, IL, and Christy O’Hara of Browning, IL uncle Bobby (and Anna) Pilger of Astoria, IL and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his grandparents, Janet and William Kirby.

Roger loved fishing, music, scrapping, his daughter, Olivia, and his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed all children and never knew a stranger. He was always willing to help others.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the Astoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Memorials may be made to Roger’s Children’s Education Fund in care of Better Banks in Astoria.
