Terry E. Mason

April 27th, 1947 – June 2nd, 2021

Terry E. Mason, age 74 of Table Grove, IL, passed away at 1:03 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL. He was born on April 27, 1947 in Canton, IL, the son of Clyde and Audrey (Burrows) Mason. He married Beth Stracker on June 28, 1969 in Ipava, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his son Todd (and Erin Yocum) Mason of Table Grove, 4 grandchildren; Tyler Mason, Aleena Lossman, Jesse Yocum and Stella Yocum, and his brother, Gary Mason of Lewistown, IL.

Terry was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Mason, and his sister JoAnne Robertson.

Terry was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for Evonik in Mapleton, IL, retiring in 2008.

He was a member of the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers of America, the Vermont American Legion Post, and the Table Grove Community Church.

Terry loved watching westerns and NASCAR. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and Willys Jeeps.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Pastor Tim Lindsay will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Harris Cemetery in Table Grove with full military rites. Memorials may be made to the Table Grove Fire and Rescue Squad.
