Dean Ray Robinson

September 16th, 1961 – October 26th, 2021

Dean Ray Robinson, 60, of Ipava passed away on October 26th, 2021. Dean was born on September 16th, 1961 in Rushville, Illinois to father Howard Wendall Robinson and mother Ernestine Bulmer Robinson.

Dean graduated from VIT in Ipava with his siblings Wendell (Tina) Robinson, Dale (Lisa) Robinson, Lonnie (Lisa) Robinson and Kathy (Sterling) (Robinson) Chavis. Dean moved West, starting his career in mining and raising hell. Dean is survived by his two daughters Tasha (Ryan) Anne (Zimmerman) Miller and Stephanie Jae Robinson and son Dalton Ray Robinson.

Dean enjoyed sharing old mining stories of him and his work buddies that he made throughout the 40+ years in the industry. He was a big fan of collecting mining stickers and making prank phone calls. His granddaughter Alicia Rae Miller (Itty Bitty) brought him great joy and happiness along with his nieces and nephew: Nickie, Randie, Dani, Josh, Shannon, Cody, Taylor, and Riley. In his later years of life he enjoyed cheering for the New York Jets, driving across the country in his Dodge pickup and visiting his family and friends. Dean is welcomed into Heaven by his father Howard and mother Ernie. We find joy in that he is finally at peace and no longer suffering.

Robinson family, raise hell he did!!! I worked with Dean at Wyodak. We were car droppers. While most mines were loading trains, we were loading railcars and riding them down the track! He made work fun!! You never knew what he had in store for us. Rest in peace my friend.

With heart felt prayers we send our condolences to all the Robinson family and especially to Tasha, Stephanie, and Dalton.
His uncle Andy and Dean always enjoyed joking around, they had a good relationship. Dean had wanted to come to California to visit me and his cousins after his Uncle passed, but never did.
I will always remember Dean as a handsome respectful young man.
Rest in peace Dean. With love, Aunt Bobbie and family
