Patricia E. Thomas

April 6th, 1950 – April 13th, 2022

Patricia E. Thomas, 72, previously of Macomb, IL, passed away at 4:48 pm on Wednesday, April13, 2022 at her apartment in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on April 6, 1950 in Crawfordsville, IN to Leslie and Delores (Stockdale) Switzer. Patricia married Norman Thomas on October 10, 1970 in Ipava, IL.

Surviving is her son, Kary Wade (and Amy Marie) Thomas of Midwest City, OK. Also, her sister, Carolyn Shutter of Ipava, IL and brother, Brian Switzer of Macomb, IL.

She is preceded in death by her husband Norman C. Thomas, brother Leslie “Les” Eugene Switzer Jr., sister Tammy Switzer, brother-in-law Max Shutter and her parents.

Patricia graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago and was a dental assistant for George Foster, DDS of Macomb, IL for many years. In 1985, she retired to become a full time mother.

Patricia was a devout Green Bay Packer fan with her husband, loved to bake, cook and decorate around every holiday and was an avid card player (Pinochle, Rook, and Uno were her favorites). She also loved to go to antique shops.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 23th, 2022 in the Ipava Cemetery. Pastor Travis Gage will be officiating. Memorials may be given in Pat's memory to the donor's choice. Condolences be sent to the family in care of Shawgo Memorial Home, PO Box 525, Astoria, IL 61501

Our Thoughts are with the Thomas' family. Pat was an amazing person who meant a lot to many. She was a second mom to a lot of us in our younger years, and she will be missed -though she has left a beautiful and lasting mark on our lives. - Tom and Lisa Maguire
