Ronald L. Strode

August 14th, 1963 – August 16th, 2022

Ronald L. Strode, 59, of Bader, IL, passed away at 11:55 am on August 16, 2022 at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, IL. He was born on August 14, 1963 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Wayne and Joy (Ewing) Strode. Ron married Kelly Bollinger on September 9, 1990 at Camp Emmanuel in Browning, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Chelsea (and Shane) Wooden of Lincoln, IL, son, Rylee (and Nakoma Goodsell) Strode of Vermont, IL, 1 grandson, Crew Wooden, step-father, Terry Davis of St. David, IL, brother, Greg Strode of St. David, sister, Melanie (and Gzim) Abazi of Newark, IL, and father-in-law, Larry Bollinger of Astoria, IL.

He is preceded by his parents, brother, Russell Davis, and mother-in-law, Arletta Bollinger.

Ron worked at JBS in Beardstown, IL.

He loved to fish and hangout with his family and friends.

Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Matt Haberman will officiate. A visitation will take place from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the funeral home in Astoria. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Astoria. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
