Kelly D. Strode

January 7th, 1970 – October 9th, 2022

Kelly Strode, 52, of Bader, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at her home. She was born on January 7, 1970 in Rushville, IL, the daughter of Larry and Arletta (Stambaugh) Bollinger. Kelly married Ron Strode on September 9, 1990 at Camp Emmanuel in Browning, IL. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2022.

She is also preceded by her mother, Arletta Bollinger and mother-in-law, Joy Davis.

Surviving are her daughter, Chelsea (and Shane) Wooden of Lincoln, IL, son, Rylee (and Nakoma Goodsell) Strode of Vermont, IL, 1 grandson, Crew Wooden and another grandchild on the way, father, Larry Bollinger of Astoria, IL, sister, Kimberlee (and Steve) Hoover of Brooklyn, IL, brother, Jef Bollinger of Astoria, IL, father-in-law, Terry Davis of Saint David, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

Kelly worked at JBS in Beardstown, IL and was also a caretaker at D & D Homes in Havana.

She loved her dogs and taking them for walks, watching Hallmark Christmas movies and going to Camp Emmanuel.

Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Matt Haberman will officiate. A visitation will take place from 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Astoria. Memorials may be made to the Schuyler County Humane Society.
