Kory W. Tournear

April 12th, 2004 – December 24th, 2022

Kory W. Tournear, 18, of Vermont, IL, passed away at 12:19 pm on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, IL. He was born on April 12, 2004 in Rushville, the son of Frank and Donna (Elliott) Tournear.

Surviving are his parents Frank and Donna Tournear of Vermont, 3 sisters, Candace Tournear of Vermont, Shavell Tournear of Plymouth, IL, and Shannon Tournear of Browning, IL, brother Christopher (and Ashlynn) Tournear of Browning, grandparents, Jim and Marcia Elliott of Liberty, IL, 8 nieces and nephews, Hunter Williams, Levi Williams, Austin Peterman, Triston Moore, Jocelyn Moore, Hayden Pittman, William Tournear, and Gracelynn Tournear.

He is preceded by his grandparents, Bill and Karen Tournear and aunt, Kathy Huffman.

Kory was the owner and operator of Kory’s 3D Printing.

Kory was a member of the Boy Scouts Troop 101 in Ipava, IL. He was a 2022 Graduate of V.I.T. High School. He was also a LEGO fanatic.

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Vermont Cemetery in Vermont, IL. Memorials may be made to the Kory Tournear Memorial Fund.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will greatly miss Kory. I knew him by his gamer tag, minikilljoy. He and I grew to be very close friends over the years when he first joined a game called wurm. I will very much miss our daily conversations. Rest well and safe travels "lil bro"

I am so sorry. Know parent should have to bury their child. Kory was the absolute with out a doubt the toughest younman I have ever meet scratch that toughest person I. Ever meet. Just know Aunt Kathy and Grandma Karen will be there for you.
