Donald N. Danner

November 10th, 1950 – August 5th, 2023

Donald N. Danner, 72, of Ipava, IL, passed away at 3 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his home. He was born on November 10, 1950 in Canton, IL, the son of Richard and Hazel (Robertson) Danner. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Donnie was united in marriage with Patsy Cable in 1972. They had three children who survive. Jason (and Staci) Danner of Industry, IL, Jeremy (and Rikee) Danner of Chisago City, MN, and Jessica (and Cale) Hammond of Ipava, six grandchildren; Beau Martin, Sydney Danner, Christian Danner, Max Danner, Macie Hammond, and Jazzlyn Hammond; 3 great-grandchildren; Jada, Jacelyn and River, two brothers; Rick Danner of Bushnell, IL, and Marty Danner of Ipava, and 2 sisters; Dixie Lynn Fenner of Colchester, IL, and Zelma May Shughart of Missouri.

Donnie retired after 42 years from NTN Bowers Corporation in Macomb, IL as a Maintenance Foreman.

Donnie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, riding horses, hunting and gardening.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be at 11 am on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Ipava American Legion.

Met Donnie back in the late 80’s when I dated and then married his cousin by marriage Jack. Spent some time at his house when he was married to Patsy and got to know their kids. Donnie and his sisters and brothers were all close to Jack back in the day and very nice to me. He will be missed by many. The whole family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr Danner always went out of his way to let my two young children stop by and see his horses even if he was busy he would run over to the fence and let them pet him as Seth got older he worked at MTN for a while and got to know Mr dinner even better he was a good boss and always treated him well.
