Louise M. Thompson

September 4th, 1934 – November 4th, 2023

Louise M. Thompson, 89, of Adair, IL, passed away at 10:55 on November 4, 2023 at The Elms in Macomb, IL. She was born on Tuesday, September 4, 1934 in Macomb Township, McDonough County, Illinois, the daughter of Milford and Naomi (Baughman) Allen. Louise married Verle Thompson on September 14, 1956 in Astoria, IL. He survives.

Also surviving are two Brothers-in-law, Harold (and Donna) Thompson of Macomb, Illinois and Norman (and Jeannie) Thompson of White House, Texas, one Sister-in-Law Virginia Hall of Virginia, Illinois, a cousin Martha Jansen of Hanna City, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by two brothers, twin brother Lyle Allen and Robert Allen.

She worked as a self-employed housekeeper. She was a homemaker and loved to travel to Tractor Shows around the area with Verle. They were always together in everything they did.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 10th, 2023 at the Summum Cemetery, Summum, Illinois. Pastor Matthew Thiner will officiate. Memorials in Louise’s memory may be made to The Elms in Macomb. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria has been entrusted with arrangements.
