Sharon M. Griffith

August 3rd, 1948 – December 7th, 2023

Sharon M. Griffith, 75, of Astoria, IL, passed away at 3:32 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at her home. She was born on August 3, 1948, the daughter of Thomas and Imogene (Abbey) Myers.

She is survived by her four children; Bobby Ballard of Lexington, KY, Roger (and Marsha) Clevenger of Annapolis, IL, Tina Crawford of Raleigh, NC, and Heather (and William) Munstedt of Cuba, IL, eleven grandchildren; Caleb Ballard, Colton Ballard, Caylee Ballard, Macie Currie, Kyle Clevenger, Brody Clevenger, Andrew Crawford, Alexis Crawford, Austin Crawford, Jacob Taylor, and Gabby Taylor, her sister, Ruth, her two brothers, Tommy and Ernie, sister-in-law, Ava, her special friend, Randall Derry, whom she made her home with in Astoria, and Randall’s mother, Edna Derry of Astoria.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Albert, and one sister, Helen.

Sharon loved her chickens, birds and cats. She also loved garden tractor pulling and was a member of the South Fulton Garden Tractor Pull Association. Her grandchildren were her world.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, December 18, 2023 in the Astoria Cemetery in Astoria. There will be no visitation.
