Joann "JJ" Jacobus

April 20th, 1936 – June 23rd, 2024

Joann “JJ” Jacobus, 88, of Canton, IL, passed away at 2:50 pm on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Sunset Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Canton. She was born on April 20, 1936 in Canton, the daughter of Doyle and Melba (Miller) Jacobus.

Joann is survived by one brother; Larry (and Penny) Jacobus of Ipava, IL and one sister; Karen Gage of Ottawa, IL, special nephew; Tim (and Becky) Osborne, and several nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Joann loved watching country music shows, playing BINGO and cards. She always wanted to own a red Corvette.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Shields Chapel Cemetery in Canton, IL. Pastor Matthew Thiner will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Sunset Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Resident Activity Account.
