Glenna K. Malott

June 7th, 1943 – November 27th, 2024

Glenna K. Malott, 81, of Ipava, IL, passed away at 1:12 pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 7, 1943 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Glenn and Helen (Bartlett) Taylor. She married Verl Malott on November 12, 1960 in Ipava, IL. He survives.

Also surviving is one son; Rodney Malott of Astoria, one brother; Ron Taylor of Liverpool, IL, and sister-in-law; Lois Henderson of East Peoria, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one son; Eric Malott.

Glenna was a substitute cook at VIT Shools. She also helped Verl on the farm. She loved gardening, baking and sharing at local farmer’s markets. She also loved animals. Glenna loved her family and raising her two sons.

Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Pastor Matthew Thiner will officiate. A visitation will take place from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Shawgo Memorial Home. Interment will be in the Summum Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

I always looked firward to visits with Glenna at the Astoria Park on Friday mornings. Her produce was so good and baked items were delicious. Such a nice person. My sympathy to Glenna's family and friends. So many will miss her.

We had lovely visits while she worked & cleaned for us at the hangar. Will so miss her smiling face & Wonderful giving spirit.
