Adam W. Stevenson

March 18th, 1976 – December 23rd, 2024

Adam W. Stevenson, age 48, of Summum, Illinois, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024 as a result of a traffic accident on US Highway 136 near Ipava, Illinois. He was born on March 18, 1976 in Martinez, California, a son of Wayne Richards and Sue Ellen (Helfrick) Stevenson.

He was employed at the Vermont Foundry in Vermont, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He also enjoyed helping others out, doing whatever was needed.

He is survived by his mother, Sue Heasley of Summum, his brother Jason (and Shawna) Stevenson of Pawnee, Illinois, his sister Pamela Corbett of Petersburg, Illinois, his niece Autumn Corbett and nephew Joshua Corbett, both of Havana, Illinois.

Adam was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Stevenson.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berean Christian Church in Ipava, Illinois. Pastor Doug Krukewitt will officiate. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Adam Stevenson Memorial Fund. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria has been entrusted with arrangements.

Sue, Jason and Pam our hearts break for all of you. Adam was a good man; always doing something for someone. To us, he was one of the family. He will be greatly missed by many.
