Adra M. Burnett

December 27th, 1927 – January 26th, 2025

Adra M. Burnett, 97, of Rushville, IL, passed away at 1:40 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Rushville Nursing and Rehab Center in Rushville. She was born on December 27, 1927 in Schuyler County, IL, the daughter of Lloyd “Shock” and Ada (Leek) Stambaugh. Adra married Charles William Burnett. He preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death are her parents and brother; Wayne Stambaugh.

She is survived by her son; Lloyd Burnett of Torrington, CT, granddaughter; Billie Jo Burnett Haynes of Rushville, two great-granddaughters and sister; Edna Derry of Astoria, IL.

Adra loved birds and dogs. She enjoyed collecting ceramic chickens, owls and cookie jars.

No services have been planned at this time.

Feeling sad. But, Adra is now where she probably wants to be. She always took care of my kids while I worked. Spent the night alot. Took my kids to the Dairy Dipper if they were on good behavior. RIP my forever friend 🧡
