Hank Fisher

April 26th, 1959 – April 3rd, 2025

William H. “Hank” Fisher, 65, of Summum, IL, passed away at 8:56 am on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born on April 26, 1959 in Beardstown, IL, the son of Richard and Willa (Swan) Fisher.

Hank is survived by one daughter, Erica (and David) Coufal of Browning, IL, four grandchildren; Cali Jade Coufal, Fulton Henry Coufal, Emmit James Coufal and Bryant David Coufal, two brothers; Dick (and Linda) Fisher of Summum and Joe (and Angie) Fisher of Astoria, one sister; Jody Davis of Astoria, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter; Jessica Dawn Fisher.

Hank worked for Laborer’s Local 231 out of Pekin, IL.

Hank enjoyed mushrooming, fishing, hunting, going out to eat with his friends and sports. He also enjoyed working in his garden, strawberry patch and canning goods for his family. He was known by his family as a great cook. As a caregiver to his parents, Hank would make several meals for them. His pride and joy were his family and grandchildren. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, including fishing with them and going to their numerous sporting events.

Services will be held at 7 pm on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Dick Meehan will officiate. A visitation will take place from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, April 7. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
