Carrie Lynn Wise

December 3rd, 1967 – April 18th, 2025

Carrie Lynn Wise, age 57 of Astoria, Illinois, passed away at 8:40 pm at The Elms in Macomb, Illinois. She was born December 3, 1967 in Hinsdale, Illinois, the daughter of George H. Wise and Helen (Danner) Wise.

She was a 1986 graduate of Astoria High School and then went on to take EMT training at Spoon River College. She worked as an EMT, and later became a school bus driver. Driving the school bus gave Carrie a lot of enjoyment and she loved the kids that she drove to and from school.

Carrie is survived by her mother Helen Danner Wise of Macomb, Illinois, her siblings, Marsha Wise Collette of Oakland, Oregon, Kristen (Brad) Bettencourt of Arnold, Maryland, Dan (Robin) Wise of McMinnville, Tennessee and Ed (Kathryn) Wise of Worland, Wyoming, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews .

She was preceded in death by her father George H. Wise, grandparents George G. Wise, Flossie Wise, Hart Danner and Iona Danner and several aunts and uncles.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be announced at a later date. Memorials in Carrie’s memory may be given to the Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad and sent to Shawgo Memorial Home, PO Box 525, Astoria, IL 61501.
